Ike & Tina Turner
Ike Turner died in his home outside of San Marcos outside of San Diego, USA. No cause of death has yet been published. Ike Turner is known as songwriter and band leader in Ike & Tina Turner. He was also married to Tina, which ended 1976, when Tina left Ike and haven't been in contact for the last 35 years. Tina wrote an autobiography ("I, Tina") in 1987 about their life together, which included abuse and also a broken nose. Later on a film was made ("What's love got to do with it"), starring Laurence Fishburne as Ike Turner and Angela Basset as Tina. The film was Oscar nominated in 1993. Together they had hits like "Proud Mary" and "River Deep, Mountain High" and many others.
